After farming on the same land for over 150 years, this family holds expertise in cheese curds, ice cream, milk, and a variety of other dairy products. Plus, who wouldn’t want to tour the farm’s milking room and pet baby cow pens?!
Harbes Family Farm - Mattituck
Mattituck, New York
With a population of just over 4,000 residents and a rich landscape of luscious plants and waterscapes, Mattituck, New York is the next spot on our travel list. The 30-year-old Harbes Family Farm has everything we’re looking for in the perfect fall experience: hayrides; fresh honey, fruits, and veggies; and several U-pick orchards — plus some unexpected perks, like a goat bridge, playgrounds, magic shows, and apple cider donuts with ice cream.

What would fall be without sweet treats and delightful flavors?
That’s why next up on our list is Le Marais Bakery, a family-owned,San Francisco spot that specializes in Northern-French inspired flavors. Using European sourced ingredients like rich butters and organic flours, the bakery is committed to the highest quality food for its patrons —and we want to be amongst the first to have a taste!
Petee’s Pie Company
New York, New York
The East coast also has a great pie shop we’d LOVE to try — Petee’s Pie Company. Cultivated by second-generation pie baker Petra “Petee” Paredez, we’re convinced that her take on classic pie flavors is exactly what we’d need on a chilly fall day in NYC.
Mandolin Inn Bed and Breakfast
After a long day of fall strolls and crisp breezes, we’re sure that the hearty fireplaces, custom art work, and homey touches found in this 1908 mansion-turned-bed and breakfast is the perfect fall getaway.
Housed in Dubuque, Iowa, an iconic Midwest city built along the Mississippi River, this bed-and-breakfast has some amazing features we don’t want to miss out on.

Nestled on Louisiana’s Northshore, our next fall pick, Blue Heron Bed and Breakfast, was voted 2019 B&B of the Year by the Louisiana Travel Association! Opened in 2013, the B&B features a number of inviting rooms, along with a delectable breakfast. We would love the opportunity to stay only 45 minutes from the heart of New Orleans’ bustling French Quarter, to be surrounded by the breezes and sounds of the Bogue Falaya River, and to gather at night by the fire pit.
